What I’m Doing to Elevate My Life Right Now

Some days it feels like life is just a series of small emergencies. Diaper changes, bottles, emails, endless laundry. But lately, I’ve been thinking about how small, intentional choices can make your days feel a little brighter, a little more mine.
Even with a baby keeping me on my toes, I’ve found a few little rituals that make life feel elevated without being unrealistic or exhausting. Here’s what I’m doing right now.

1. Morning coffee in the garden (if I’m lucky) Some mornings, my almost 10-month-old wakes up way earlier than I’d like. But if I get a tiny window of quiet, I grab my coffee and head to the backyard garden. Sitting there, enjoying the fresh air, listening to the birds or even just taking a few slow breaths feels like hitting a reset button for my whole day. No doom-scrolling, no phone pressure, just a minute to exist.
2. Minimizing clutter wherever I canLet’s be real, having a baby makes clutter multiply like it’s on a mission. I’m trying to keep the everyday chaos under control with little habits: putting things away as I go, keeping surfaces clear, and occasionally doing a “soft reset” of my spaces so it feels calm, not overwhelming.
3. Movement that feels good I’m not hitting the gym for punishment, just moving my body in ways that make me feel alive. Pole, yoga stretches, even a quick backyard dance with my son counts. Moving in ways that feel joyful keeps my energy up and my mind clearer.
4. Reading + little brain breaks Even 10–15 minutes of reading a book, flipping through a magazine, or jotting down ideas in a notebook makes a difference. It’s a small way to stay curious, learn, and reconnect with myself amidst the chaos.

5. Small indulgences A candle, my favorite coffee, a journal with a good pen. These tiny luxuries remind me that life can be thoughtful and beautiful, even when it’s messy.
Conclusion

Elevating life doesn’t mean perfection. It’s about noticing what makes you feel good, even if it’s just a few minutes of quiet coffee, a little stretch, or tidying up the space around you. The key is intention and giving yourself those moments, however small, to reset and breathe.
I’d love to hear your little rituals too. What keeps you feeling grounded and intentional? Drop a comment, send me a note, or just take a minute to enjoy your own small luxury today.
